The hardcover edition of editor Keith Gessen’s first novel, All the Sad Young Literary Men, which came out in 2008. The New York Review of Books liked it (“rueful, undramatic, mordantly funny, and frequently poignant”); so did the New York Times, calling the author a “natural novelist with a warm gun.” In truth, Keith does not own a gun.
