The paperback edition of editor Benjamin Kunkel's first novel, which came out in 2005. The New Yorker called it "expert at depicting highbrow buffoonery"; Jay McInerney wrote in the New York Times that it was "the funniest and smartest coming-of-age novel in years." Fortunately, Ben does not yet have a cooking show.
